The children of Tama

Journal of American Indian education3 (1) • Published In 1963 • Pages: 15-20

By: Hoyt, Elizabeth E..

Abstract
This source is a critique of the Fox Project, sponsored by the Department of Anthropology at the University of Chicago, especially its activity regarding craft and higher education projects. Hoyt concludes that these activities failed because they were based on erroneous assumptions and on values and attitudes which were not shared by the Indians.
