Abstract
This document presents an in-depth study of the effects of the Cuban immigration on Dade County's educational system. The author discusses the many problems that arose in accommodatiing the great influx of Cuban children into the existing school system, and the manner in which the schools adjusted to this new situation by developing new materials and new curricula, including programs of bilingual education, to meet the needs of these students.
