Abstract
This document is a brief summary of some of the major features of Western Woods Cree ethnography from the seventeenth century to the late twentieth, with a strong emphasis on the western Swampy Cree and the Rocky Cree. Topics discussed in this study include language, territory and environment, culture history, traditional culture and culture change, social and political organization, the annual cycle, life cycle events, clothing, technology, religion, population, and acculturation.
