Abstract
This monograph is a study of the Round Lake Ojibwa located in northwestern Ontario. Rogers describes this community as they existed at the time of his field work in 1958-1959 and indicates the changes that have taken place in the life of these people from the historical period, particularly in regard to social organization, economics, and religion (the three major parts of this work) which are closely interrelated in the structure of the society. He also attempts to show to what extent the Round Lake Ojibwa today (i.e., 1958-1959) have adapted to Euro-Canadian society to form an integrated whole and how they function accordingly.
