Abstract
This article is concerned with the blood group and secretor genes of the Copper Inuit living on Victoria Island and the neighboring mainland of Canada. Some incidental information is also presented on economic subsistence, foreign relations, population, and marriage regulations. The authors also discuss the gene frequencies of the Copper Inuit population in relation to those occurring in other neighboring Inuit and Indian groups, and from these data theorize about the racial affinities of the above mentioned groups to one another and to the ancient Inuit cultures in the eastern Arctic, the Dorset and Thule.
