Abstract
This study was conducted to gather information on the elderly in order to improve services and to dispel some misconceptions. The study consisted of the administration of a questionnaire to a sample of both Mexican-American and Anglo elderly in a barrio in San Antonio, Texas. The data presented are on socio-economic structure, family structure and relations, psychological well-being, health status and health care utilization, religious behavior, and the retirement experience.
