Abstract
This article is concerned with the ideologies and activities of the numerous political parties which came into existence with the revival of constitutional government in Iran. The article concentrates upon the competition among these parties, the influence of the Allied occupation and the struggle between East and West upon the Iranian political scene. The author was a member of the Labor Department of the Anglo-Iranian Oil Companys administration in Khuzistan. He was also in Tehran, serving as Press Attache at the British Embassy from 1945-1947.
