Abstract
This volume, the second of a two volume work, covers the betrothal ceremonies, the periods for wedding celebrations, the preparations and preliminary festivals for weddings, the fetching of the bride to the bridegroom's home, and the actual wedding week. The author continues to describe life after marriage, the relationship of the woman and her husband's family, and the woman and her father's household. The institutions of polygyny and divorce and the re-marriage of widowers and widows are also discussed.
