Abstract
This book is a generalized description of an expedition through the Chiapas highlands undertaken by an archaeologist and an ethnologist. There are detailed descriptions and pictures of ceramics, textiles, clothing, basketry, buildings, and other items of material culture. Descriptions of settlements, land use, political institutions and religion are sketchy.
