By: Kayser, Bernard.

Abstract
In this article, Kayser discusses the weak regional structure of Greece using demographic data that shows the migration of people from rural areas to Athens and abroad, and data on regional disparities in per capita GNP. As the gateway to the international economy, Greater Athens is the only region that shows a positive growth in population and income.
