Abstract
This is largely a descriptive account of the travels in Montenegro by an English gentleman and Fellow of the Royal Society. The author reports firsthand on the settlements, dwellings, roads, living conditions, dress, diet and hospitality of the Montenegrins. He adds to this account research on Montenegrin history and warfare. The writer relates his personal encounters with the Montenegrin Bishop, the Vladika, and other chiefs who hosted him along the way.
