Abstract
This is a photo documentary of Ifugao basket weaving, specifically, a traditional carrying bag called a BANGO. Basket weaving is a male activity, whereas weaving is a female one. The fibers for the bango originally came from the inner bark of a BANGI tree, however, for conservation reasons other fibers are used, such as the stems of the APANGDAN vine, or rattan bought in the market. The bango was used by hunters to carry meat. The book includes 72 pages of photographs.
