Abstract
This source presents in the form of a single inventory, 'all the essential information in the 1911 Beyer-Merrill manuscript.' That document, 'largely unpublished,' contains a list of 156 plants used by the Ifugao, their botanical name, location and native uses. Conklin has added to this list '4 tables which aid in the analysis and cross-indexing of its content.' These tables provide: (1) present Ifugao plant names with the corresponding ones used in 1905; (2) a list of botanical names and the corresponding Ifugao terms; (3) a list of the families represented and the entry numbers of the plants with each; and (4) a list of Beyer's original field numbers and the corresponding entry numbers used here. He also presents a survey of Ifugao ethnobotanical studies to date (1965).
