Abstract
This paper examines the changing patterns of land ownership in two central Thai provinces, Ayuthia and Nakhon Pathon, since 1910. Additional information relate to rate of land transfers, trends in the equality of land ownership, the degree of land mortgaging, the nature of the landlord-tenant relationship, and general data on the basic rice economy of the region.
