Abstract
Gabrielle Vassal was the wife of a French doctor stationed at the Pasteur Institute at Nhatrang in southern Annam. In this book, published six years after her arrival in Annam, she describes her life in Nhatrang and trips into Moi territory around Dalat, displaying a lively interest in Indochina, its peoples, and its customs. Her account is journalistic but is well organized, and contains valuable information on both the Annamese and the Moi.
