Abstract
This is a general study of Cambodian Buddhism. The chapters included in the File cover respectively, the rites and ceremonies, the clergy and its organization, monastic rules with appropriate texts, its rite of confession and prayer, the architecture and iconography with reference to relevant texts, the ethics of the religion together with its influence on charity, the family and the organization and function of the king and his court. Of interest are related materials on art, literature and legend, history and a comparison with the Buddhism of other parts of Southeast Asia and data on Cambodian adaptation of imported Indian religious culture and vocabulary.
