Abstract
This is a study of a contemporary Atayal weaving group. The author discusses the process from making and dying the yarn to weaving designs to clothing styles. Although weaving has lost its cosmological significance, it continues to be women's work that is highly regarded and lucrative, bringing status to the most creative and inventive weavers.
