Korea: internal political structure

Department of State bulletin11 • Published In 1944 • Pages: 578-583

By: Borton, Hugh.

Abstract
This brief summary is divided into five sections: political history prior to annexation, organization and administration of colonial government, education, health and sanitation, and recent changes. This report is particularly good in dealing with the subject of Korean participation in government under Japanese domination. It supplements the material found in 22: Osgood and 26: Suagee and Stalheim, but should be read in conjunction with those two for a good over-all description of the effect of Japanese imperialism on Korean political and social structure.
