Abstract
This article discusses the types of land and their varied economic uses, chiefly agricultural, in and about the town of Soba. Prothero includes considerable incidental information on agricultural crops, practices, and markets not elsewhere available. Several maps give detailed information on the immediate region. Prothero, formerly of University College, Ibadan, was with the Department of Geography at the University of Liverpool at the time of publication.
