Abstract
This chapter is concerned primarily with the economic production of rural and semi-rural households in the Hausa area. While production levels are treated in terms of products and their values, considerable incidental information is included on the size and activities of households, agricultural methods, small-scale trade, standard of living, and government development programs for the agricultural region.
