Abstract
This source discusses the meaning of Turkana names of 37 livestock diseases and the symptoms, etiology, and treatment of the 37 diseases. The source also includes scattered information on Turkana pastoral activities and ethnobotany as it relates to the treatment of livestock diseases. The author concludes that with respect to disease diagnosis and treatment, applied animal science is not very well developed among the Turkana.
