Abstract
This book described Luo Customary Law pertaining to land tenure, marriage rules and property inheritance. Drawing on information from several court cases and interviews conducted in1954-1955, the book showed that the nature of these customary laws was closely related to the organization of Luo society into clans, lineages and sublineages.
