Abstract
This is an account of Tzeltal communities dealing specifically with community structure, political organization, economics, and religious festivals. The source was written on the basis of Villa Rojas's 34 day fieldwork and further supplemented by both authors' later literature research and analysis. An agricultural calendar is also recorded.
