Abstract
This report is a generalized survey of the ethnography of the Igbo living in Awka district in northern Iboland. Although many facets of Igbo life are discussed in these pages, major emphasis in the source is on demography, religion and law. While much of the ethnographic information contained herein seems somewhat superficial (in comparison to other sources in the file), it is important since it deals with an area given relatively little attention in the literature.
