Abstract
This document discusses links between Huichol religiosity and visual art. All Huichol traditional artists are shamans, and their paintings, embroidery and other artistic representations are believed to be products of dreams and visions. The findings support earlier accounts of Huichol arts being inspired under the influence of peyote, and relates to Huichol interpretation of how the human soul is connected to the divine and the flow of communication between them.
