Abstract
This is a study of the physical working capacity of individuals from the Warao subtribes of Hobure, Sakobana, Winikina, España (Hebu banoko), and Koberuna. The author's data are based on the size, shape, and composition of the body, energy mechanisms (aerobic and anaerobic capacity), functioning of the muscles in static and dynamic work, and circulatory and respiratory functions (p. 152).
