Abstract
This article, by a professional anthropologist, deals with the construction and decoration of the skin robes worn by the Tehuelche, and contains some material on weapons and hunting. The distribution of the decorative elements is discussed with reference to other South American groups. A small amount of material is on the Ona (SH4) and Yahgan (SH6) collections.
