Abstract
This is an outline of the traditional history of the culturally related Halchidoma (also called Lehi) and Maricopa peoples as recounted by knowledgeable tribal elders interviewed in 1965. The focus is on reconstructing the migrations of both groups to the Salt River area of Arizona, location of the modern reservation shared with the Pima. The text includes useful biographical information on the keepers of tribal history.
