Abstract
This document is primarily an autobiography of Virgil Wyaco, a Zuni Indian, starting with his early life and schooling, his personal experiences in World War II, and then a major treatment of his postwar experiences back in the Southwest (especially the many roles he played at Zuni Pueblo). Carroll L. Riley, a southwestern expert, and close friend of Wyaco, concludes this work with a concise history of the Zuni people from the prehistoric period to approximately the mid-1990s
