Abstract
This document is the last of the tribal monographs under the Indian Education Personality and Administration Project. It is made up of two distinct sections. The first is an ethnographic account of the Zuni written by John Adair and the second is a study of personality traits among Zuni school children by Dorothea Leighton. In the first part there is a marked emphasis on the acculturative process and its ramifications in the social, economic and religious spheres. This material constitutes the background for the second section which contains the results and interpretations of intelligence, projective and psychological tests administered to the Zuni children, detailed life histories of six of these children, and a general discussion of Zuni cultural patterns and personality patterns.
