Abstract
This source examines the causes of the decline in the number of traditional ceremonialists on the Kaibeto Plateau over the past 120 years. Data are presented on economic changes, the rise of the Native American Church, and the means of transmission of ceremonial knowledge. The conclusions are that economic changes and the rise of the Native American Church have contributed to the decline in the number of ceremonialists.
