Abstract
This is a description of the author's visit to a sacred Navajo cave in the period of August-September of 1979 and again in June-July of 1981. These visits were undertaken in connection with the author's sacred-places research program and with permits from the Navajo Tribe's Cultural Resource Management Program. Of particular interest in this article are the descriptions given of the four clay heads found in the cave which are supposedly representatives of the Ye'iis spirits. A background history of the site is also presented in the text.
