By: Sasaki, Tom Taketo.

Abstract
This source surveys a range of social changes occurring at Fruitland as the result of the implementation of a government-sponsored irrigation project. With the introduction of new personnel, values, and technical means, the face of the Indian rural community was transformed. Data from individual life-histories and surveys of the activities of extended families highlight the kinds of changes which the people of Fruitland generally experienced.
