Children of the people: the Navaho individual and his development

Harvard Univ. PressCambridge • Published In 1947 • Pages:

By: Leighton, Dorothea (Cross), Kluckhohn, Clyde.

Abstract
This is the most complete published book on the application of personality and intelligence tests to Navajo children. The results of those tests are balanced against the knowledge the authors (one an anthropologist, the other a psychiatrist) have from years of personal observation. The book is, therefore, not only an excellent study of Navajo children, but also provides interesting evidence as to the degree of reliability of such tests. The text is accompanied by excellent photographs that are not reproduced here.
