Abstract
This source includes seven brief papers, relating almost wholly to the pueblo of Oraibi. They are: Notes on Modern Burial Customs; Notes on the Eagle Cult of the Hopi; The Oraibi New Year Ceremony; Tawa Baholawu of the Oraibi Flute Societies; Four Hopi Tales; and Hopi Marriage Rites on the Wedding Morning. The observations are extremely detailed, even though brief, and generally refer to the period 1900-1905. Very little data on pueblos other than Oraibi are included.
