Abstract
The information in this article was obtained by the authors from native informants during the summers of 1935-1937. Basically the document consists of a series of nine stories of warfare between the Yuki and Nomlaki people, four of which were told by Yuki informants and five by Nomlaki. The work concludes with a critical content evaluation of the stories by the authors (Goldschmidt, Foster, and Essene).
