Abstract
This brief article discusses three forms of Osage marriage: the first marriage of a young couple which is arranged by their parents, that of persons previously married but separated by divorce or death, and that as a result of cohabitation in disregard of tribal custom. The role of the marriage broker, relatives of the marrying couple, and the exchange of gifts by persons involved in the ceremonies are all treated as extensively as the length of the article permits.
