Field Museum Press27 (2) • Published In 1940 • Pages: 65-119

By: Dorsey, George Amos, Murie, James R., Spoehr, Alexander.

Abstract
This monograph was compiled by Alexander Spoehr from field notes left unpublished at the death of the authors. Dorsey was an ethnologist and Murie was a Pawnee. The monograph deals with community organization, kinship and status, the life cycle, and crime. It also contains various random notes about various matters made by the authors. Where the original field notes proved at variance with published data, or were inconsistant, Spoehr indicates this by bracketed notes contained within the text.
