This account describes the rituals and songs connected with the Hako ceremony. Materials on Pawnee deities and mythology may be found in the discussion of the rites and there are also occasional references to Pawnee conceptions about the universe, meteorological phenomena, and plant and animal species. Fletcher, a pioneer ethnologist, was assisted by James R. Murie. The music was transcribed by Edwin S. Tracy.
