Abstract
This is an historical analysis of the period from 1656 to 1760 when the Fox were confronted by the French in Wisconsin. The author details the Fox Indian Wars of that period and includes extensive information on intertribal alliances and politics. The author refers variously to the Fox as Foxes, Renards, and Outagami.
