Abstract
Beginning in 1960, south Florida's existing religious makeup was changed considerably as the result of a massive influx of Cuban refugees to Miami and the rest of south Florida. Bringing with them their own styles of worship and religion, the integration of the refugees into the existing religious communities of the area -- notably the Catholic and Protestant denominations -- has resulted in some degree of change in these religions. What these changes are and how they were brought about by the Cuban refugees constitute a major portion of this work.
