Abstract
This is the journal of H.M.S. Enterprise's voyage to the Arctic from 1850 to 1855 in search of Sir Franklin. The entries contain mainly events concerning the expedition itself and give little pertinent information on the Inuit. A few short passages have been selected from the period September 1851 through June 1853 during which the Enterprise sailed and explored the region between Franklin Bay and Victoria Strait. Besides casual mentionings of meetings with Inuit, the only more detailed reference included in the files are 'Remarks on Esquimos' a partial summary of their culture by Capt. Collinson.
