Abstract
This brief article presents dermatoglyphic data which was collected in conjunction '…with a research project to describe and analyze the past microevolutionary history and the present-day status of the living native populations on Kodiak Island…' (p. 206). Using indices of apical patterns and ridge counts and comparing them to other Eskimos, the author concludes that '…the East Greenland and East-Central Arctic series differ most noticeably from the remainder of the comparative groups of Eskimos.'
