Abstract
This paper examines the determinants of kinship networks among Korean immigrants in the Los Angeles, California area. Yim discusses kinship networks from the standpoint of the presence and location of relatives in the Los Angeles region, family type (i.e., extended vs. nuclear families), help patterns between relatives and frequency of visiting between kin. This article is an exposition of Yim's objectives by evaluation of the field data collected from the sample of male Korean household heads interviewd for the study.
