Abstract
This study describes and analyzes the differential patterns of cultural and social adjustment among the Korean residents in the area of Chicago, Illinois. The authors examine the general life style changes of the Korean immigrants in terms of such structural variables as age, marital status, socio-economic status, residence, religious affiliation, etc. and survey the degree of cultural and social adjustment in terms of objective (behavioral) and subjective (attitudinal) indices. On the analytical level, a series of hypotheses are tested to examine relationships between structural variables and the differential cultural and social adjustment patterns (p. 6). A major part of the document deals with the statistical analysis and interpretation of the results of the hypotheses testing.
