Abstract
This paper discusses the conflict of identity reflected in the various literary works of Serbian writers in America. The writings of two or three Serbian authors are analyzed in relation to the topic of this article. Matejic believes that the results of this analysis will provide an insight into the conflict of identity and the process of Americanization, which may not be peculiar to the Serbian writers in American alone (p. 183).
