Abstract
This work is a general study of Armenian culture history, focussing on the Armenian population of Fresno, California (as of 1919). Wallis discusses immigration patterns, areas of settlement in the United States, economic pursuits (e.g., fig and melon production), Armenian newspapers, education, cultural contributions to the society by Armenian artists, engineers, and scholars, religion, kinship terminology, and various other industries.
