Abstract
This article, based on interviews with about forty members of the Highwood community, presents a portrait of the Italian American immigrants of that town in the 1920s and 1930s. Selections from these interviews deal primarily with the type of work that the Highwood Italian immigrants did for the 'rich people' of that community.
