Abstract
This is an overview of the position of Italian Americans within American society.Juliani describes three dimensions, each of which is carefully studied in this work. These are: (1) the demographic, geographic, and ecological boundaries of Italian Americans as a part of the mainstream American society; (2) the position of Italian Americans in the stratification system of the United States, and (3) their cultural location and social acceptance in regard to their assimilation as Americans (p. 61).
