Abstract
In essence, the primary focus of this study is on the question of whether or not the cultural identity of Mexican American women influences their feelings about family size and contraceptive utilization patterns. This article attempts '…to highlight some of the problems of doing bicultural research on contraceptives and fertility, the relevant information currently available about Mexican Americans, and major research areas that need to be initiated' (p. 18). Several dissertations on Mexican American contraceptive use are also reviewed in the text.
